Capt. Nigel Moniz

Co-Founder, Arsuni Ltd

Capt. Nigel Moniz is a Master Mariner with over 30 years of experience in the marine industry. After a successful seagoing career, during which he commanded Suezmax tankers trading worldwide, he transitioned ashore to build an accomplished career in maritime management and marine insurance.

He holds a specialised MBA in Maritime Management from London, is a qualified Chartered Shipbroker (MICS), and is currently pursuing his ACII qualifications. Nigel spent five years with an international law firm in London, advising clients on a wide range of marine, piracy, risk mitigation, and insurance-related matters, before moving to a London based speciality global insurer to expand their global reach with additional overarching responsibility for operations across the Middle East and Indian sub-continent.

In August 2025, Nigel co-founded Arsuni Ltd, bringing together his extensive seafaring, legal, and insurance expertise to deliver innovative and client-focused solutions to the maritime sector.
